Golden Rose

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This giant flower grows up to 9.2 feet (2.8 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is thick, and the tiny, hazel or lilac leaves are very narrow and elongated with toothed edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

6 to 11 large flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 129 cm (50.8 inches) wide, with solid gold petals decorated with red dots and a blood red central disk. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of widely spaced narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like a man, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It comes in 4 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
