Waterstem Grass

This small, emerald and grey grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The umbrella-shaped stalks grow in extensive patches that are sturdy and flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, hazel tuft.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of tiny grains.
