Aquamarine Oak

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 158 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a very thick, wavy trunk covered in hard, wrinkled, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is yellow-brown.

The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with handfuls of clammy, large, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of green or yellow that gradient shifts to aquamarine at the top.

In late summer it forms giant, orange, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It can survive a very long time without water.
