Crimson Petal

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its gray-green stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, copper leaves are crescent-shaped with serrated edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Hundreds of small flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide, with petals that are either violet or crimson, with a yellow center. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of raised round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has a powerful scent that smells like cigarette smoke, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
