Burgundy vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 23 feet (7.0 meters) and growing as high as 111 feet (33.8 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.
It takes 2 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.
The slender, pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are either orange, or gold with sky blue zig-zags, and have toothed edges.
During late spring, the vine produces dozens of giant gold flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces plenty of small fruits.
It can absorb up to 7 times its own weight in water.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
