Copperleaf
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 262 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in thin, cracked, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the hard wood is burgundy.
The sparse amount of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small amounts of fuzzy, large, very thick leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either black or copper, with muted green dots.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, bronze, shelled seeds.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for making strong rope
