Violetvine

This massive bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,621 feet (494.1 meters) and growing as high as 285 feet (86.9 meters).

It takes 11 years for the hazel or ashy orange stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 4.8 feet (1.5 meters) and are rough and fibrous.

The perforated, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are dark grey on the edges and olive at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of tiny violet flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a few large seed pods.
