Bluebell

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 13 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of long and flexible, wonky stems covered in paper-thin, waxy, dark green bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches trail down across the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, stiff, pointed, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid blue with magenta zig-zags, flimsy and waxy.

In mid-summer it produces hundreds of small, dark yellow flowers with 5 crescent-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like blood.

The sap causes itchiness of the skin
