Chocolate Spike

This short cactus grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The wide stem is pink-red, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 13 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid amber petals and a light brown central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like chocolate.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the black flesh is sticky, and the silver sap is thin.
