Emerald Grass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small, emerald grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The pleated stalks grow in thin clumps that are light and frail.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, purple spikelet.
During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of tiny grains.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It comes in 94 varieties.
