Crimson vine

This small vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 10 feet (3.0 meters) and growing as high as 113 feet (34.4 meters).

It takes 2 months for the silver stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are flat and wavy.

The very thin, leathery leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are bold purple and red, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of average beige flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces plenty of small seed pods.
