Aquaflora
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This large tree grows up to 63 meters (206.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 192 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a slender, straight trunk covered in fine, cracked, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pine-coloured.
The numerous branches are short and slender and are covered with copious amounts of leathery, huge, perforated leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid caramel with light grey lines.
In late summer it forms small, caramel, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is often home to a particular bird species.
It is suitable for making paper
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
