Copperflower
Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its copper stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 6 and are very thick and straight, and split into many branching stems at the base, and the tiny, yellow leaves are very thick with tattered edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Hundreds of medium-sized flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of pale green. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of widely spaced round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.
It has a delicate scent that smells like candle wax, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird and is ignored by most insect species.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is often referred to as the most beautiful of all flowers.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
