Copperbell
Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is very thick and splits into 6 branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the huge, copper leaves are thin with wavy edges. 5 leaves grow at the base of the stem.
6 to 11 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are generally copper; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of handfuls of tightly layered, narrow petals. They fall easily.
It has a mildly strong scent that smells like rotten egg, and it has excessive amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
