Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The finger-like stem is yellow-green, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible lime spines. The twisting, brown trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter in the middle. The large amounts of ripped-edged, pleated leaves are found in pink, sky blue and black varieties. They are hardy, but easily come away when pulled.

Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid blue petals decorated with sky blue lines and a lime central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 6 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. It has a weak scent that smells like apple.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the lime flesh is leathery, and the amber sap is thin.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly spicy.
