Crimson vine

This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 93 feet (28.3 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 4 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.

The finger-like, fuzzy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are solid crimson or bronze, with pink zig-zags, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many small caramel flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few tiny seed pods.
