Aquamarine

This modest-sized flower grows up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. Its brown stems grow in bunches of 4 and are wispy with a curved tip, and the huge, green leaves are stiff, pointed with irregular edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Lots of large flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with aquamarine petals on the lower layer and hazel petals decorated with dark brown dots on the inner layer. The central disk is blood red. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. They are hardy.

It has no scent, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
