Cerulean Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall. The narrow stem is slate or light grey, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible blood red spines. The stumpy leaves are blue and orange. Large amounts of them grow on stocky, green branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are rigid, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are generally faded purple; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 46 widely spaced narrow petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like perfume.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the lilac flesh is leathery, and the azure sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
