Bluefire

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive flower grows up to 14.4 feet (4.4 meters) tall. Its orange stem is wispy, and the tiny, brown leaves are long, tapering with jagged edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 143 cm (56.3 inches) wide, with silver petals that gradient shift to blue on the outer edge. The central disk is cyan. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 10 petals. They detach easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like burning wood, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
