Bluevine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 60 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has dozens of thick, wavy stems covered in paper-thin, smooth, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.
The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, spear shaped, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in blue, cream and pale green varieties, flexible and fuzzy.
In early summer it produces a thick sheet of tiny, bronze blossoms with 4 teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like damp.
In late autumn tiny stiff, pointed fruits ripen. The clammy slate skin is stretchy and inedible, and the soft orange flesh is bland and very juicy. The beige seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
