Copperwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant tree grows up to 95 meters (311.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 472 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, twisting trunk covered in thin, wrinkled, light gray bark, and inside, the very light wood is copper-coloured.

The numerous branches are tall, rigid and upright, with thousands of twigs covered with handfuls of huge, pink-red needles. The needles themselves are sturdy.

In late summer it produces small, yellow, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It comes in 26 varieties.
It is suitable for making strong rope
