Bluebell
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its gentle blue stems grow in bunches of 8 and are thin and straight, and the giant, florescent green or green leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Each stem splits 3 to 7 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of gold. The flower head is largely flat with 15 tightly layered narrow petals. They are hardy.
It has a soft scent that smells like cotton, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
