Amber

Tree type: Deciduous (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 25 meters (82.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 579 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in rough, silver bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is dark brown.

The branches are very short and thin and are covered with small bunches of smooth, tiny, very thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are amber at the bottom and purple with turquoise patches at the top.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of giant, hazel blossoms with long, narrow petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like fermented fruit.

In late summer it forms giant, olive, shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
