Bluebell

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big flower grows up to 4.6 feet (1.4 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is thick, and the miniature, yellow and moss green leaves are finger-like with jagged edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Each stem splits 4 to 8 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 60 cm (23.6 inches) wide, with deep blue petals on the lower layer and olive petals decorated with purple dots on the inner layer. The central disk is gentle yellow. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like bleach, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird and is ignored by most insect species.

It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
