Coral

This colossal flower grows up to 7.5 feet (2.3 meters) tall. Its gray stem is very thin and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, pink-red leaves are broad, flat with rounded edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 46 cm (18.1 inches) wide, with petals that are generally orange; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of handfuls of raised, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has excessive amounts of pollen. It is a self-pollinator.
