Blood Rose
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This giant flower grows up to 8.8 feet (2.7 meters) tall. Its gray-green stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, hazel leaves are asymmetrical with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
4 to 7 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 34 cm (13.4 inches) wide, with blood red petals and a lilac central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 15 curved petals. They fall easily.
It has a strong scent that smells like cigarette smoke, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
Array
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
