Crimson Firevine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This giant flower grows up to 16.2 feet (4.9 meters) tall. Its pink-red stem is very thick and straight with a curved tip, and the large, red leaves are wispy with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 73 cm (28.7 inches) wide, with petals that are purple on the underside and bronze on the top. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. They fall easily.

It has an intense scent that smells like meat, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
