Orangevine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 25 meters (82.0 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1610 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in thin, wrinkled, silver bark, and inside, the flexible wood is burgundy-brown.

The branches are long and thin, with hundreds of twigs covered with copious amounts of huge, orange needles. The needles themselves are robust.

In late summer it produces large, sky blue berries.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
