Mahogany
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 288 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a slender, angular trunk covered in thin, knobbly, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.
The branches are long, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of clammy, huge, circular leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally subtle blue.
In late summer it forms small, blood red aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
