Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 47 feet (14.3 meters) and growing as high as 59 feet (18.0 meters).

It takes 18 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The spear shaped, sticky leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are solid dark brown with brilliant blue edges, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces handfuls of average yellow flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny berries.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
