Yellowfinger

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This large leaf succulent grows up to 105 feet (32.0 meters) tall. The perforated stem is grey, and is covered in sharp spines. The finger-like leaves are yellow and beige. Handfuls of them grow on stumpy, emerald branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are hardy, but easily come away when pulled.

It is slow growing, taking 29 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of washed-out yellow, grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like bonfire smoke.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the pink flesh is rough, and the washed-out yellow sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.

It is frequently struck by lightning.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
