Crimson Tree

This average-sized tree grows up to 14 meters (45.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 608 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, ridged, light gray bark, and inside, the dense wood is dark brown.

The tangled mess of branches are very short and thin and are covered with thick bunches of soft, tiny, slender, pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are yellow-green with pastel orange tips.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, crimson, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
