Coilvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 59 meters (193.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 88 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, angular trunk covered in thick, knobbly, brown and grey bark, and inside, the light wood is mahogany-coloured.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of soft, huge, very thin leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either bold red or florescent green, with magenta patches.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, violet berries.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It commonly grows in large patches.
It is suitable for making paper
