Magenta

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The thin stem is moss green, and is covered in many flexible lilac spines. The smooth-edged, circular leaves are either cream, or magenta with bronze splotches. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a symmetrical pattern. The leaves are delicate, and take little effort to detach.

It is quick growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid light brown petals and an amber central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the green flesh is rubbery, and the brilliant yellow sap is thin and can cause blindness if consumed.

It can flourish even in standing water.
The entire plant is edible and the grains areslightly sour.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
