Crimson Conifer
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 93 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a thick, wonky trunk covered in smooth, light brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is dark brown.
The small bunches of branches trail down to the ground, covered with handfuls of small, slate or crimson needles. The needles themselves are sturdy.
In late summer it produces tiny, blood red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
