Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 40 feet (12.2 meters) and growing as high as 792 feet (241.4 meters).
It takes 5 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.
The long, narrow, clammy leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are either amber or white, with light brown dots, and have serrated edges.
During late spring, the bine produces many average silver flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a few tiny berries.
