Blackwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 29 meters (95.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 427 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wonky trunk covered in thin, ridged, black bark, and inside, the soft wood is yellow.

The sparse amount of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with copious amounts of waxy, large, 9 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure with aquamarine zig-zags.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of giant, yellow blossoms with slender, pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like cigarette smoke.

In late summer it forms giant, gold berries.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
