Azurevine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its aquamarine stem is very thin and splits into several branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the miniature, gray-green leaves are spear shaped with wavy edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Each stem splits 1 to 7 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 11 cm (4.3 inches) wide, with muted orange petals that gradient shift to azure on the outer edge. The central disk is crimson. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of widely spaced round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like alcohol, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.

The bark is frequently covered in moss.
It commonly grows in large patches.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
every part of the vine is slightly toxic.
