Copper Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized tree grows up to 30 meters (98.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 129 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, slanted trunk covered in very thick, ridged, yellow bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale yellow.
The sparse amount of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of sticky, tiny, perforated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are copper and beige.
In early spring, it produces many small, white blossoms with finger-like petals. They are sturdy and have a powerful scent that smells like burning wood.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, blood red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It can survive a long time without water.
