Azurepetal

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) tall. Its vivid yellow or cyan stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are very thick and straight, and split into numerous branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the small, green leaves are sickle shaped with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are azure at the sides and sky blue at the center. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like rotting meat, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
