Copperbell

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This giant tree grows up to 118 meters (387.2 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 183 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in rough, light gray bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black.

The excessive amount of branches are long and slender and are covered with handfuls of crispy, huge, very thin leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid slate with caramel dots.

In early spring, it produces handfuls of giant, copper blossoms with V-shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like bleach.

In late summer it forms small, amber berries.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for making paper
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
