Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big tree grows up to 88 meters (288.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 116 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is difficult to cut through.
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
