Graypine
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in waxy, light gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow.
The numerous branches are very long and thin, with dozens of twigs covered with copious amounts of large, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are flexible.
In late summer it produces giant, light yellow berries.
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
