Caramel

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 perforated stems. Each stem is caramel and grey, and is covered in hundreds of flexible cream spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 13 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid gentle purple petals and a pink central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 7 petals in raised layers. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like vomit.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the dull green flesh is sticky, and the indigo sap is thin.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
