Amberwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This colossal tree grows up to 91 meters (298.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 397 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in thick, cracked, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is light brown.

The large clumps of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of waxy, large, very thin leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are amber and washed-out green.

In late summer it forms small, light brown, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for making paper
