Purple Spined Cactus

This massive cactus grows up to 113 feet (34.4 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 2 sickle shaped stems. Each stem is brown, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible purple spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 25 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of pastel yellow grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 37 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like new carpet.

The cactus's skin is thick, the cyan flesh is waxy, and the white sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
