Emerald
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized cactus grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 2 thin stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in lots of flexible silver spines. The tear-shaped body is emerald, and is covered in sharp spines.
It is steady-growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are lilac on the edges and copper at the center grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like cigarette smoke.
The cactus's skin is thin, the violet flesh is rough, and the hazel sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
