Amberwood
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3434 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, straight trunk covered in silky, yellow bark, and inside, the very light wood is mahogany-coloured.
The abundance of branches are short and thin, with thousands of twigs covered with sparse amounts of huge, amber needles. The needles themselves are durable.
In late summer it produces small, light brown seed pods.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
