Violetberry

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, angular trunk covered in cracked, yellow bark, and inside, the light wood is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of large, very thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are brilliant green and amber.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of giant, faded purple blossoms with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like a man.

In late summer it produces small, wide fruit. The sticky violet skin is thin and edible when roasted; it is bitter, and the slightly crunchy olive flesh is sweet and sour and very juicy. The caramel seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
