Hazel

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 429 feet (130.8 meters) and growing as high as 20 feet (6.1 meters).

It takes 2 years for the yellow and muted green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1.3 feet (38 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The finger-like, sticky leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are hazel at the bottom and pink with azure dots at the top, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of average hazel flowers.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
